I grew up in the suburbs in Costa Rica, in a small town called Heredia. I then moved to Concord, North Carolina in 2001 with my family. I stayed in North Carolina for most of my educational career and was fortunate to have had the opportunity to study abroad in Lille, France for one year during my undergraduate experience and enjoyed every minute of it! I graduated from NC State University in 2012 with my B.S in Animal Science with a minor in French and Spanish, and from the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016. My professional interests include soft tissue surgery, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and theriogenology (reproductive medicine).
I love sunny Florida and moved down in July 2016, and so far I have enjoyed everything that this area has to offer. I live with my 3-year old, one-eyed, mischievous rescue dog named Penny. In my free time, I enjoy learning new types of dance, traveling, playing volleyball, and making pottery.
I am delighted to be joining the amazing and caring team that is Country Oaks Animal Hospital!
